School ends at the end of May

There will be approximately 160 days of school in total, Monday through Friday. We will need to factor in parent/teacher conferences as well as grading days. The staff would start on August 31st and stop just a few days after school ends.

We have someone researching and looking into before and after school programs to figure out what we can offer.

Next week we will be discussing:

  • What is the child’s school day going to look like?
  • We want to look outside the box and research other countries to see how they offer education to students.
  • Statistics show students generally learn best in the morning and retain more information. What can we do to help our students retain information throughout the entire day? Should nap time/quiet time be a part of their schedule? If you would like to be a part of the discussion, please join us next week on Monday 6/1 at our next curriculum meeting.
